1. How do I alphabetize items in my LiveText
reviews so it is easier to grade and /or post
grades?
When you are in reviews,
simply click on the column titled FROM, and
all items in that label will be alphabetized
by last name.

2. How can I delete items that have been
sent to me for review?
Because you are not the author
of the documents you sent for review, you can
not delete them. The best thing to do
is to make a folder called TRASH, and place
all unwanted items in there. Follow the
directions for making files below.

3. How do I file the items that have been sent
to me for review?
Before you choose to file
any items from the Reviews, you need to have
appropriate labels to hold the filed items.
To create labels, click on the edit labels
link on top of the Reviews page. Follow the
screens to create labels (similar to folders
to hold items you specify).
If you have labels created and would like to
file specific review items into those labels,
check the review items by clicking the check
box on the right of the item. At the bottom
of the reviews page, there is a ‘choose
label’ drop down box next to the heading
“File checked items under”. Use
the drop down box to select the appropriate
label. Then click the link [File] to
move the items. LiveText takes you to that file
and shows you that the items are in that file
now.

How can I print only particular sections of
my student's portfolio, like their essay?
To
print just a section of your student’s
portfolio or document:
-
Go to your
Reviews page
-
Corresponding
to the student's portfolio, click the view
link. This link will appear if you have already
reviewed the document before. If there is
only a review link, click that instead.
This will open the student’s document.
-
Click Print...
link on right top corner of the portfolio.
[You may have to override a pop-up blocker]
-
A print window
opens up. On the right top corner of that
window, there is a link Options. Click
that.
-
A list of
all pages and sections appears with check
boxes to the left. Check the box(es) corresponding
to the section(s) you want to print.
[For example, to print the student's final
reflective essay, you need to check only one
box – corresponding to "student work"
under the final reflective essay title. You
may have to scroll in the options window to
get to the section you want to print.]
- Click on Apply Settings
link at the bottom of the page. You may have
to scroll down to the very bottom of that
window.
- Click the "Print" link
on right top of the options window to print
the page.

Why doesn't my Assessment window show up? OR
Tips on disabling the pop-up blocker on your
computer:
The Assessment window does not show up because
you probably have a pop-up blocker software
running on your computer. This prevents the
window from displaying correctly. There are
two ways of solving this problem:
-
You
can temporarily override the pop-up blocker
software so that you can proceed with your
assessments. Holding down the CTRL key on
your keyboard, click on the link to pull
up the assessment ("assess" or the rubric
link). You may have to click the link 2-3
times before you can get the window.
-
You
can permanently disable the pop-up blocker
for just LiveText web-pages. Click on the
pop-up blocker icon on your web browser,
and look for an option like "always allow
pop-ups from..". Select the LiveText website
from the list and click the corresponding
button, like "add" or "allow".
