  2. Advisers
When students are notified of admission to the Graduate School, they will be assigned an adviser who is a faculty member in the department. Please consult with your adviser regularly. A good way to communicate with your adviser is by e-mail. It is especially important to contact your adviser prior to scheduling any course to take and at the point of applying for admission to candidacy (between 12 and 18 semester hours into the program). It is also important to continually consult your advisor as you construct your portfolio, a requirement for graduation and for licensure in Arkansas.

  4. Compressed Video Network
Arkansas State University operates the compressed Video Network System to deliver courses to off-campus locations. The system links professors and students on campus with students in several locations.

Weather conditions or academic schedules at the various locations, will, on occasion, require the videotaping of the courses delivered via the Compressed Video Network. Enrollment in these courses constitutes permission for the classes and the students in them to be videotaped. Students who are unable to attend the classes when they are originally conducted will view the tapes in lieu of attending the scheduled class sessions.

Admission standards and registration procedures for these classes will be the same as those for resident/on-campus courses.
