The College of Education through its five
academic departments: Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Special
Education; Health, Physical Education, & Sport Sciences;
Psychology & Counseling; and Teacher Education offers
bachelors, masters, and specialist degrees. The doctoral degree in Educational
Leadership is offered through the Center for Excellence in Education. The
college enrolls approximately 1600 undergraduate and 450 graduate students on

The College of Education currently supports the
largest cohort of undergraduate minority teacher-scholars in Arkansas and
strives to recruit and retain faculty, students, and staff from diverse

institution with an academic enrollment of approximately 10,000 students on the

half hours northwest of Memphis, Tennessee and two hours northeast of Little
Rock, Arkansas on Crowley's Ridge. A growing mid-sized town atmosphere of just
over 50,000, Jonesboro is Northeast Arkansas' hub of regional shopping,
healthcare and cultural activity. Located between the cities of Little Rock,
Memphis and St. Louis, Jonesboro is also a major manufacturing center for
